A raise awareness week

Picture
The girls in class 2a2 arranged "a raise awareness week"  as their CSPE project during May. They organised different days to highlight different issues that were of importance to them. The issues they focused their attention on were the conservation of water, recycling, litter problems, conservation of electricity in our school  and Greenschools.  As part of this project poster competitions and  recycling art competition  were organised, surveys were composed, completed and reported on, an earth-hour in the school was held and a guest speaker  Helen Corish Wylde and Environmental Officer from Wexford County Council visited the school to talk discuss how to become a greenschool. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their participation in the project and look forward to working on these issues again in the future.
